What do I need to use GT Coach?

A PlayStation (PS4 or PS5) running Gran Turismo 7, and a Windows PC or Mac on the same local network. GT Coach runs on your computer and receives telemetry from the PlayStation over WiFi or Ethernet.

Is it free?

Yes, GT Coach is completely free during the beta period. No credit card, no trial limits. We're focused on making the coaching great before thinking about pricing.

How does it connect to my PlayStation?

GT7 broadcasts telemetry data over your local network. GT Coach listens for this data automatically. No jailbreak, no mods, no cables. Just start GT7 and GT Coach on the same network and they'll find each other.

Which tracks are supported?

Coaching is available for tracks in the current weekly GT7 rotation: Daily Races A, B, C, and online Time Trials. New reference laps are uploaded every Monday when the rotation changes. Offline events like licenses and circuit experiences are not currently supported.

Does it work during online races?

Yes. GT Coach works during Sport Mode races, lobbies, and time trials. As long as a reference lap exists for the track you're on, the coaching runs regardless of the game mode.

Won't the voice be distracting while racing?

The feedback is timed to arrive in straights and calm sections, when you have bandwidth to process it. Short messages, good timing, nothing during hard braking or mid-corner.

How do I hear the coaching voice?

GT Coach runs on your PC or Mac and plays the coaching audio through its speakers. You race on your PS4 or PS5 as normal and hear the coach on the side. Most GT7 players use TV or room speakers for game audio, so both work together naturally.

Do I need to use a specific car?

Each reference lap is recorded with a specific car, but the app adapts its analysis to your current car within the same category. Since weekly Daily Races already require a specific car class (e.g., Gr.3 or Gr.4), you'll naturally be in the right category.

How is this different from watching telemetry replays?

Telemetry tools show you data after the fact and require expertise to interpret. GT Coach tells you what to fix while you're driving, when muscle memory is forming. You hear the feedback, adjust, and see the improvement on the next lap.

I built GT Coach because I wanted to get faster in GT7 but didn't know why I was slow. I could see the lap times, but the gap between knowing I was off pace and knowing what to fix was massive.

Traditional telemetry tools exist on PC, but nothing like this exists for console players. GT Coach is the tool I wished existed. Something that watches you drive, figures out why you're losing time, and tells you what to change while you're still on track.
